Resi Action Ltd

About Us

Experience You Can Count On

ResiAction supports young people, families and the community by providing bespoke residential care services for the most vulnerable young people in our society.

Our vast experience with local authorities and working with the most challenging young people, gives ResiAction a unique insight into the complexities of their lives. This in turn has led to the design of a multi-faceted service that delivers a flexible programme of care and development in a safe and secure environment.

Our Director, Tyrell Simpson, has a wealth of experience within the social services care sector.

Tyrell is a passionate professional who has provided CEO-level consultation to many private and public care providers, including many prominent local authorities.

Our company employs an Activities Coordinator to create and lead individual activity plans that support a therapeutic PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) approach. By tailoring activities to each child’s needs and interests, the coordinator helps foster trust, emotional expression, and positive relationships, which are central to PACE. These carefully designed programs provide children and young people with meaningful opportunities to build confidence, explore new skills, and experience fun in a safe, supportive environment, enhancing their overall wellbeing and development within our residential care setting.

Our company has an internal Training Lead to ensure that all staff receive high-quality, relevant training that supports outstanding children’s residential care. This role allows us to deliver mandatory training while also developing bespoke programs tailored to the unique needs of our team and the children and young people in our care. By equipping staff with up-to-date skills, knowledge, and best practices, our Training Lead helps maintain a safe, nurturing, and professional environment where every child can thrive.

Helen Verschoyle – A Journey of Commitment and Leadership

Our Story

Helen Verschoyle’s career is defined by one constant: an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

With over 25 years of experience in residential childcare, Helen has worked across a wide range of settings supporting children and young people with complex needs. Her early career was spent working directly in EBD children’s homes, secure children’s homes, and respite services, gaining hands-on experience with children affected by emotional and behavioural difficulties, disabilities, and involvement in the youth justice system. Over 25 years, Helen worked across multiple sectors, developing a deep understanding of trauma, risk, safeguarding, and the importance of consistent, therapeutic care, within County Council and the Private sector.

Helen joined Resiaction Staffordshire as a Research and Development Officer, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s future. She led the development and implementation of the company’s crisis service, overseeing its design from concept through to delivery, ensuring it met the needs of children, families, and placing authorities alike.

As Resiaction Staffordshire grew, Helen was instrumental in opening three registered EBD children’s homes, taking responsibility for establishing robust policies and procedures, implementing IT and digital systems, and developing effective recruitment, training, and retention strategies for staff. Her focus on quality, compliance, and culture has resulted in the company achieving Good Ofsted outcomes across all homes, consistently maintained over the past six years.

Helen’s progression within Resiaction Staffordshire reflects both her leadership and her vision. She has advanced through the roles of Research and Development Officer, Registered Manager, Operations Manager, and now holds the position of Managing Director and Responsible Individual. Throughout this journey, she has remained closely connected to frontline practice, ensuring that strategic decisions are always grounded in the lived experiences of children and staff.

Today, Helen leads Resiaction Staffordshire with a clear purpose: to build and support strong teams who provide high-quality, therapeutic, and nurturing care for children and young people who need it most. By investing in people, systems, and values, she continues to drive the organisation forward—creating safe, stable homes where children can heal, grow, and thrive.

Helen Verschoyle is a qualified social worker and has recently achieved her Professional Level 7 in Strategic Leadership, strengthening her ability to lead sustainable growth and long-term development at Resiaction Staffordshire. This advanced programme is equipping Helen with the strategic insight, governance expertise, and change leadership skills needed to scale the organisation responsibly, ensuring services remain high-quality, impactful, and child-centred. By applying this learning directly to the organisation’s vision and operations, Helen is driving strategic growth that supports business resilience while deepening Resiaction Staffordshire’s commitment to developing meaningful, responsive services that positively shape outcomes for children in care.
