How we deliver our service
ResiAction delivers care from a social pedagogical approach embedded into the philosophy and culture of the Humphries House.
Humphries House values the importance of meaningful relationships, and a social pedagogical approach supports this.
The home promotes positive relationships with children, young people, their families, and other professional agencies.
Children focused
We recognise children and young people as competent and active people in their own right, and therefore, our objective is to provide individual care packages based on their identified individual needs.
This care is supported within a positive living environment, with a small group setting, using activities and sports therapy.
Providing a safe and secure environment that promotes the welfare and opportunities of looked after children and young people. This is important to the leadership and staff team at Humphries House.
Working with partners
ResiAction aims to work alongside children, young people, their families, and significant others to provide a permanent and safe home.
However, where this is not possible, we aim to work alongside other agencies to prepare and support children and young people to transition to identified positive placements.
These include:
We strive to achieve positive outcomes for the children and young people, giving them the best voice and enabling them to reach their potential through choices, community presence and inclusion, as well as recognising their diversity.
