Residential Support Worker: Children's

£9.50 - 10.50 per hour and sleep-in £40

This is an exciting new role to be based in our Residential Service. 


Since 2019 we have supported children and young people in communities in the West Midlands. 


As a Support Worker, you will join a team with a reputation for giving outstanding service and care to the most vulnerable children and young people.

The Role

As a Support Worker at our three-bed Children's residential service, you will be based in Wolverhampton.


The role will be supporting children and young people with:

  • Emotional and behavioural difficulties associated with those in crisis
  • Complex needs
  • Present challenging behaviours
  • Suffered neglect/abuse
  • Seeking asylum 
  • Risk of CSE, drug and alcohol misuse, criminal behaviour and self-harm


As a support worker, you will also:

  • Assist the management team in maintaining a safe and enabling environment 
  • Ensure the progression of children and young people
  • Encourage our children and young people to develop new skills and be their best
  • Be sensitive to the needs of those in your care 


As a support worker, you will do the above with the support of our: 

  • Social Pedagogy model and PACE approach 
  • Active in-house training/supervision on a 1-2-1 basis 
  • Providing you with career diplomas in health and social care


What qualifications do I need to apply?

Level three CYPW or equivalent
